Steve Axtell

Hi, I'm Steve Axtell, Board Certified in Clinical Hypnotherapy, and the director of Axtell Hypnosis Center. Please go to my website AxtellHypnosisCenter.com to find out tons of information about Hypnotherapy and how the tools and skills I teach my clients can be life-tranceforming.

Steve Axtell has been involved in the mental health field for over 41 years. He has worked with adolescents, and in the area of drug and alcohol rehabilitation and education. For the past 15 years, his focus has been on using Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming to help people make rapid changes in unwanted habits, to overcome the blocks that hold them back in life, and to become healthier, happier, and wealthier. Steve Axtell graduated from Baylor University in 1970 with a degree in Social Work with an emphasis on Counseling. In 1974, he graduated from the U.S. Department of Defense Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation School, and in 1975, from the Rutgers University School of Alcohol Studies. Steve became certified in Neuro-Linguistic Programming in 1994, and did extensive training in Hypnotherapy which lead to Certification with the American Board of Hypnotherapy and the National Guild of Hypnotists in 1997. As a presenter and teacher, Steve Axtell receives invitations to give workshops and seminars internationally as well as across the U.S. He has trained well over 500 people in the art and science of Hypnosis to date, and is regarded as one of the top Hypnosis trainers in the country. He is known for his lively presentations that are fun, entertaining, and educational. His workshops and seminars are designed to equip students with tools, skills, and confidence. The focus is always on practical application. In his work with individual clients, Steve Axtell begins with the belief that "no one is 'broken' and needs to be "fixed". It's simply that you haven't been taught how to take control of your thoughts and emotions. You have a wealth of internal resources, and access to many external resources...more than enough to live a life that is rich and full.  It's just a matter of having the tools needed to tap into this vast reservoir of ability, capability, confidence and genius that resides within you and without. Steve sees his role as being more that of an educator than a "therapist": teaching the skills necessary to overthrow past programming that doesn't work , and then helping you to develop the ability to move forward in the directions that you want to go. It's really about generating the skills to make choices and to create freedom in your life!  Steve Axtell enjoys working with clients from around the country. Coaching, NLP changework, and yes – even hypnosis, are powerfully effective over the phone.
